Flexible Delivery Models

GSI offers flexible delivery models for both current customers and new installations of Retail-1. Flexibility in delivery models provides a strategic opportunity to transition your retail business processes and data as technology continues to evolve.

»On-Premise

On-Premise – entails installation of the Retail-1 Connected applications on a server on the specialty retailer’s headquarters or administrative support center. Each retailer is responsible for computer equipment acquisition as well as ongoing maintenance and support of the hardware and operating systems software as well as Retail-1 Connected applications. In addition, Retail-1 is accessed through a network dedicated to the individual retailer.

»Software-as-a-Service

Software-as-a-Service – encompasses use of one or more of the Retail-1 Connected applications on GSI’s application servers. Databases are separated and secured by individual retailer. Retail-1 SaaS offers the complete range of functionality within the Retail-1 Connected family. Retail-1 SaaS bundles the service with regular updates to the Retail-1 Connected software as well as maintenance of server hardware and operating systems software. Cloud Computing – is the use of third party facilities for remote data storage and applications. Implementation of an e-commerce solution often results in use of a third party for both hosting of applications and data storage. GSI offers hosting services for retailers implementing Retail-1 WebStore to simplify deployment and supplier relationships.

»Hybrid

Hybrid – represents a coordinated mix of two or more of the delivery platforms as a seamless implementation of Retail-1 Connected applications.
